    学名：Perdix dauurica

    英名：Daurian Partridge

    形态：小型鸡类，体长24-32cm。头红褐色，上背、前额和上胸两侧灰色，其余上体棕褐色，具栗色虫蠹状斑和栗色横斑。胸具大片赤褐色，腹具大块马蹄形黑褐色斑和黑色斑点；喉侧羽毛变长和变尖，呈须状。

    虹膜暗褐色；嘴铅褐色；脚肉色。

    分布：中国北方大部分地区有分布。在保护区属罕见的留鸟。

    习性：栖息于开阔平原、森林草原、灌丛草地、耕地等生境。秋冬季多成群活动。主要以植物性食物为食。

    ID: Small gamebird.Body length 24-32cm.Head rufous， Upper mantle， forehead and breast-sides grey.The other parts of upperbody mid-brown， with fine brown vermiculations.Breast largely rufous， with large black U-shaped patch and black spots on belly.‘Whiskered’ feathers on throat sides.

    BP: Eyes dark brown； bill greyish brown； tarsi flesh.

    SD: Rare resident.

    HH: Favours plains， forest-steppe， meadows and agricultural lands.Often in flocks in autumn and winter.Mainly herbivorous.
